Editorial policy

This page exists so that a reader can tell what kind of writing this is before trusting a sentence in it.

What gets published

  • Product facts only where the pack states them. A size, a certificate number or a weave name appears because it is printed on the product, not because it sounds right.
  • Where a figure is unknown, it is left out. There are no invented weights, no grams per square meter, no drying times in minutes and no fibre percentages on this site.
  • Anything about a certificate or about the weaving tradition of the region carries a link to the body that publishes it and the date we read the page.

What does not get published

  • Invented company history. We do not print a founding year, an address, a head count or staff photographs.
  • Invented customer voices. Every quoted review is a real one, quoted as written.
  • Claims about health, safety or medical benefit. A towel is a towel.

Sources

The pages we rely on are OEKO-TEX, STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX (read 17 August 2026), Textile Exchange, Recycled Claim Standard and Global Recycled Standard (read 17 August 2026), Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, Geographical Indications Portal: Buldan Bezi, registration no. 194 (read 17 August 2026). Each was opened and read on the date shown beside it, and the sentence on our page was written to the source rather than the source found to fit a sentence.

Corrections

Write to hello@bay-laurel.net. A correction is made on the next update and the page is changed rather than argued about. Prices and sizes are the errors we most want reported.

Independence

Nobody pays for a mention here. There are no sponsored placements, no gifted-in-exchange-for-coverage arrangements, and no advertising slots on any page.
